VIVID is built on the same solid PVC platform as EVERTEX Essence, with one change at the surface: the woodgrain is printed in high definition onto a PVC layer and sealed under a clear protective coat, instead of being embossed into a single-colour cap.
What the printed layer does
Print carries tone and grain variation from board to board, so a deck reads closer to hardwood than a uniform board does. Classic Merbau gives the red-brown of a Merbau deck and American Oak a pale golden oak, without the oiling either timber needs. Weathered Silver Ash is the grey of timber left to weather.
The layers
From the top: a clear PVC layer that takes the UV, stains and surface wear; the printed woodgrain layer; dual-layer ASA capping; and a solid PVC core with no wood fibre to rot or feed termites.
