Composite Cladding in Melbourne

Composite cladding gives you the look of timber on a facade without the cycle of sanding, staining and oiling that comes with it. The boards are wood-plastic composite, prefinished at the factory, so what you fix to the wall is the finished surface — no painting, sealing or oiling on site, and no recoat in three years. We stock three ranges at Thomastown, across profiles from a fine shadowline to a deep castellated face.

WoodEvo castellated boards

186mm castellated boards at $63.25 per board in Beach, White, Black, Dark Grey, Silver Grey and Spotted Gum, with Vic Ash at $69.58. Prefinished, consistent board to board, and the widest colour choice we hold in one profile.

NewTechWood

Castellation UH58 and UH61 for a deep architectural face on commercial facades and feature walls, and Shadowline cladding for the tighter reveal that suits ceilings, door panelling and interior feature walls. Shadowline accessories cover the fixing system — AW08 clips at 17 per square metre, WJ063 locking clips, and screws for either timber or metal battens. Quick Panel is the budget DIY option for backyard fencing and screening, with composite screening and 56 × 30mm battens to match.

A solid core behind a waterproof outer shell. Ressisto 160 Castellated for a bolder profile, and Ressisto 144 FineLine for a narrower, more even line across a large wall.

Picking a profile

Castellated boards throw a deep shadow and read strongly from the street, which suits a feature wall or an entry. Fineline and shadowline profiles read more evenly and sit better across a whole elevation. Both need the right batten spacing and fixings behind them — see cladding accessories for the trims, clips and cavity battens. If you would rather have real timber and accept the maintenance, external timber cladding is the other side of this decision.
