CUTEK EXTREME CD50 is an Australian-made, oil-based wood stabiliser that soaks into decking and exterior timber instead of forming a film on top, so it won’t flake or peel and maintenance coats go on without sanding or stripping.

Sizes in stock: 1 L, 5 L and 10 L
Coverage: 10–20 m² per litre on new dressed hardwood such as Merbau or Spotted Gum; 7–9 m² per litre on rough-sawn or older restored timber (CUTEK’s guide)
How much for a deck: a new 20 m² hardwood deck needs about 2–4 L for two coats on the top surface, so the 5 L tin covers it
Coats: two thin coats to start, a maintenance coat about six months later, then check it once a year
Before you start: the timber must be clean, dry and under 17% moisture content
Colour: sold clear, so timber weathers to silver-grey; add a CUTEK Colourtone to hold a colour

CUTEK® Extreme CD50 is made in Australia for Australian conditions. CUTEK® Extreme CD50 diffuses throughout wood to control liquid and gas phase moisture, to minimise warping, cupping and splitting. By improving the dimensional stability of wood, CUTEK® Extreme CD50 improves the service life of your timber.

CUTEK® Extreme CD50 enhances the natural beauty, grain and texture of timber. Applied as a clear oil, CUTEK® Extreme CD50 will allow timber to naturally silver over time. Mixing in one of 16 CUTEK® Colourtones will help to enhance and maintain the freshly oiled natural look of your timber or alter your timber colour to meet your design requirements.
