CUTEK Wood Stripper (formerly CD33) removes old paint, stain, varnish and oil from timber so it can be oiled again. CUTEK makes it as an alternative to strippers that use methylene chloride or NMP, and it needs no professional experience.
- Sizes: 2.5 L, 5 L and 10 L
- Coverage: about 1 L per 3 m², varying a lot with the type and thickness of the coating (CUTEK’s guide)
- How to use: brush, roll or apply with a lambswool applicator onto dry timber, working it into the grain; it takes about 30–60 minutes to react. Thick or many-layered coatings may need a second application
- Why strip first: CUTEK oils have to go onto bare, clean, dry timber. Old film coatings stop them soaking in
- Also works on: paint and coatings on metal, brick and masonry
