WoodEvo 186mm Composite Castellated Cladding Board Vic Ash is a prefinished wood-plastic composite cladding board. Composite gives you the look of a timber board without the upkeep: there is no oiling cycle, no repainting, and it will not split or splinter as it weathers. It carries a BAL 29 bushfire rating when installed as part of a compliant system.
Why composite over timber
The colour runs through a factory-applied finish rather than sitting on top as a coating, so it wears evenly instead of flaking. For rental properties, upper storeys and anywhere access for maintenance is awkward, that trade-off is usually worth more than the timber look.
