Cladding Accessories in Melbourne
The boards get the attention, but the trims, flashings and jointers are what decide whether a facade passes inspection and stays watertight ten years on. We hold the accessory systems for the cladding we sell, so the corner, the starter strip and the screws come from the same range as the sheet.
James Hardie trims, flashings and jointers
Aluminium base trims and slimline starters with matching connectors; external corners in slimline, square, boxed and two-piece snap-on; internal corners including the concave profile; horizontal express and recessed jointers; and H, T and step flashings. In PVC there are cavity vent strips in 18mm and 35mm, eaves jointers, flashing moulds, external corner angles and straight jointers in 4.5mm and 6mm. Colorbond corner flashing runs 75 × 75mm.
Parts specific to each range
Linea has its own internal corner mould, PVC starter strip, universal window adaptor and external slimline boxed corner. Stria takes the vertical flashing stop. Hardie Edge runs a base trim, base trim jointer and its own external and internal corners. ExoTec facades take the gasket snap strip and facade washers. Axent trim is stocked alongside them.
Fixings, sealants and weather barrier
Class 3 collated screws in 25mm and 41mm Phillips drive, 41mm square drive, and facade washers for panel fixing. For sealing and finishing: joint sealant in 300ml cartridges, base coat and top coat in 15kg pails, backing strip, and foam back sealing tape on 50mm × 25m rolls. Hardie Wrap weather barrier comes in 2.75m × 30m rolls, with Hardie Break thermal strip and cavity and structural battens for the cavity behind.
WoodEvo composite trims
Deep cladding trims made to match the boards: 60 × 60mm corner, 76 × 51mm starter and 32 × 60mm L trim, each in Beach, Black, Dark Grey, Silver Grey, Spotted Gum and White. PVC composite battens run 5.4m in Antique Silver, Oak and Shou Sugi Ban, fixed with 7g × 32mm screws for timber subframes.
