NewTechWood Coastal Range

NewTechWood Coastal is a wide, fully capped composite deck board for Hamptons and coastal-style decks: the US54C grooved board is 210 × 23 mm and 4.88 m long, made from 95% recycled material, double-sided with a P5 slip-resistant reverse, BAL-29 rated and backed by a 25-year residential warranty.

• Boards: the US54C wide board, 210 × 23 mm and 4.88 m long, plus a matching narrower finishing board
• Colours: Aged Wood, Antique, Beech and Teak
• Slip rating: the weathered face is P2 and the reverse is P5 under AS 4586
• Joist spacing: 400 mm centres maximum on homes and 300 mm on commercial decks, closer than NewTechWood’s narrower boards, so check your subframe
• How much for a deck: NewTechWood allows 4.7 lineal metres of US54C per m², so a 20 m² deck takes about 20 boards at 4.88 m, plus offcuts
• Fixing: hidden clips, 14 per m² at a 5.5 mm gap or 15 per m² at 3 mm; see NewTechWood decking accessories
• Warranty: 25 years on owner-occupied homes and 10 years for rentals and commercial use, with cover reducing over the term (NewTechWood’s warranty terms)
