ModWood Xtreme Guard is ModWood’s capped composite decking, made in Melbourne: a 137 × 23 mm board, 5.4 m long, capped on all four faces, rated P5 for slip under AS 4586 and backed by a 25-year residential warranty that includes fade and stain cover.

Size: 137 × 23 mm, 5.4 m long, in grooved or square-edge boards
Colours: Charwood, Fire Brick, Koko Brown, Magnetic Grey and Sandy Bay
Slip rating: P5, the highest AS 4586 class, on the embossed top face (NATA-accredited wet pendulum test)
Joist spacing: 450 mm centres, with at least 150 mm clearance to the ground
Fixing: Snap-LOC KSL137N concealed clips; colour-coated 10g × 65 mm stainless screws for timber framing come in packs of 100 and 350, and 10g × 40 mm SS410 screws for steel framing in packs of 100
Warranty: 25 years residential (pro-rated after year 10) and 10 years commercial, plus a 25-year residential fade and stain warranty
Recycled content: 90% recycled materials
Bushfire: ModWood doesn’t publish a BAL rating for Xtreme Guard; its Flame Shield range is the bushfire option

Manufactured to the highest achievable level of slip resistance P5 (AS 4586:2013), making it ideal for wet surfaces and commercial decks. Hidden fastening system for standard shaped decks and for irregular shaped decks, matching colour coated head screws makes installation easy and quick. Never have to sand, stain or oil the deck again ever! Simply wash down and occasionally sweep to maintain a beautiful deck.
