LifeCore H3V is laminated veneer lumber in which every veneer was H3 treated before the LVL was pressed, so the protection runs through the full depth of the piece. The manufacturer specifies it as a fit-for-purpose substitute for H3 MGP10 treated pine, so this 190 × 45 mm goes wherever the same size of H3 MGP10 would: deck joists and bearers, pergola and verandah framing, carports, fascias and rafters, and wall framing that will stand in the weather before it is clad. It is not for posts in the ground; that is H4 work.
It comes dressed smooth on four faces with arrised edges and the branding printed on the edge, with a clear factory coating that the manufacturer says resists moisture, mould and UV during construction. Cut ends do not need re-treating; seal the end grain as you would any exterior timber. Deck screws should go 25–30 mm into the LVL, 20 mm or more from the edges, with a pilot hole.
Priced per length at $14.82 per lineal metre, $1 a metre over the H3 LOSP treated pine in this size. 7.2 m lengths are available to order; call (03) 9465 9875. Everything else about it, including how it compares with treated pine, is on our LifeCore H3V page.
