Intergrain UltraPrep Timber Cleaner brings grey, weathered, tannin-stained or mould-affected timber back to a clean surface ready for oiling. It’s the step after the Tannin & Oil Remover.

  • Sizes in stock: 4 L and 10 L
  • Mix: 1 part cleaner to 4 parts water in a plastic container; stronger for heavy staining
  • Coverage: 5–10 m² per litre (Intergrain)
  • How to use: sweep, wet the timber, scrub the mix in with a stiff brush or broom, keep it damp for 10–15 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with a hose or pressure washer
  • Take care: keep it off plants, painted surfaces, concrete and metal, and wear waterproof gloves and safety glasses (Intergrain’s instructions)

Product Description

Intergrain UltraPrep Timber Cleaner prepares timber for coating. It removes weathering, grey discolouration, rust and tannin stains, mould and mildew, bringing timber back to a clean surface ready for oil.

Mix one part cleaner to four parts water, scrub it into wetted timber, leave it for 10–15 minutes while keeping the timber damp, then rinse it off thoroughly. Heavy staining or tannin-rich timber may need a stronger mix or a second application. It contains citric acid, so keep it off plants, painted surfaces, concrete and metal, and wear waterproof gloves and safety glasses.
