70 x 35mm merch grade pine — an ungraded, general purpose pine for work that carries no structural load.

What merch grade means

Merch (merchantable) grade is not stress graded, so it must not be substituted for MGP10 anywhere a span or load matters. It is the economical choice for temporary work, bracing, packing, hoarding, formwork, pallets and general site use — jobs where you want pine at the lowest cost and the grade is irrelevant.
