NewTechWood Avenue is NewTechWood’s lightweight, lower-cost composite decking: a scalloped, fully capped 138 × 29 mm grooved board, 4.88 m long, made from 95% recycled material, for home decks on joists up to 450 mm apart, with a 25-year residential warranty.
- Board: US92 scalloped grooved board, 138 × 29 mm, 4.88 m long, about 2.7 kg per metre; single-sided
- Colours: Antique, Teak and Walnut
- Joist spacing: 450 mm centres maximum; residential only, as NewTechWood gives no commercial span
- How much for a deck: NewTechWood allows 7 lineal metres per m², so a 20 m² deck takes about 29 boards at 4.88 m, plus offcuts
- Fixing: hidden clips, 17 per m² at a 5.5 mm gap or 19 per m² at 3 mm; see NewTechWood decking accessories
- Bushfire: NewTechWood lists Avenue as BAL-29 rated
- Avenue or Terrace? Avenue is rated P2 for slip. For pool surrounds, commercial decks or wet areas, NewTechWood’s Terrace and Coastal boards have a P5 reverse face.
