EVERTEX VIVID PVC Decking

EVERTEX VIVID is a solid PVC deck board with a printed woodgrain layer under a clear protective coat, which gives it more grain detail and colour variation than an embossed board. It is 140 × 24 mm and 5.4 m long, in American Oak, Classic Merbau and Weathered Silver Ash, with a 25-year warranty.

• Boards: grooved board and edge board, both 140 × 24 mm × 5.4 m
• Price: per 5.4 m board; choose the board and colour to see it
• Colours: American Oak, Classic Merbau and Weathered Silver Ash
• Construction: clear protective PVC layer, printed woodgrain PVC layer, dual-layer ASA capping and a solid PVC core
• Weight: 2.7 kg per metre, about 14.6 kg for a 5.4 m board
• Joist spacing: 400 to 450 mm centres (EVERTEX’s recommendation)
• Slip resistance: slip-rated surface tested to AS 4586, suitable for wet areas such as pool surrounds
• Maintenance: no sanding, oiling or staining
• Warranty: 25-year EVERTEX product warranty
• Also from EVERTEX: Essence, the solid-core board in eight colours, tested to BAL-29 and Pioneer, the lighter, lower-cost board
• At Greenhill: order through Greenhill Timbers, 170 Settlement Road, Thomastown, for pickup or delivery across Melbourne and regional Victoria. See all our composite decking.

VIVID is built on the same solid PVC platform as EVERTEX Essence, with one change at the surface: the woodgrain is printed in high definition onto a PVC layer and sealed under a clear protective coat, instead of being embossed into a single-colour cap.

What the printed layer does

Print carries tone and grain variation from board to board, so a deck reads closer to hardwood than a uniform board does. Classic Merbau gives the red-brown of a Merbau deck and American Oak a pale golden oak, without the oiling either timber needs. Weathered Silver Ash is the grey of timber left to weather.

The layers

From the top: a clear PVC layer that takes the UV, stains and surface wear; the printed woodgrain layer; dual-layer ASA capping; and a solid PVC core with no wood fibre to rot or feed termites.
