ModWood

ModWood is Australian composite decking made in Melbourne from recycled plastic milk bottles and ground wood waste: 137 × 23 mm and 88 × 23 mm boards, 5.4 m long, splinter-free, for home decks on joists up to 450 mm apart, with a 10-year residential warranty.

• Sizes: 137 × 23 mm and 88 × 23 mm, both 5.4 m long
• Colours: Sahara, Black Bean, Jarrah and Silver Gum
• Slip rating: R11 for the 137 mm board and R10 for the 88 mm board (AS 4586); ModWood suggests Aqualis Traction coating where P4 or P5 is required
• Joist spacing: 450 mm centres maximum on homes, less under concentrated loads
• Fixing: KlevaKlip Snap-Loc concealed clips (KSL137N and KSL88N), or nail or screw fixing
• Warranty: 10 years residential and 7 years commercial against rot, warping, cracking, splitting, splintering and termite damage; fading, staining and mould are not covered
• Bushfire: ModWood says its standard boards must not be used in BAL-rated zones; its Flame Shield range is the bushfire option
• Recycled content: more than 85% recycled material
• ModWood or Xtreme Guard? ModWood Xtreme Guard adds a cap on all four faces, a P5 slip rating and a 25-year residential warranty that covers fading and staining.
• At Greenhill: stocked at 170 Settlement Road, Thomastown, with pickup or delivery across Melbourne and regional Victoria. See the full ModWood range.

Colours shown online are indicative only — screens vary and composite boards have natural tonal variation. View the boards at our Thomastown yard before committing to a colour.

ModWood is versatile, easy to install, and looks great in any setting. Whether you are using it for pool decking, patio decking, or for a large entertaining platform, it will add definite sophistication which is long-wearing, safe and eco-friendly. And because it is splinter-free, it is also safe for use with children.

ModWood’s boards’ durability and resistance to the toughest Australian weather conditions make them a great, low-maintenance alternative to conventional timber – and one which can save you significant time and money over time.

Available in four colours: Black Bean, Sahara, Silver Gum and Jarrah. Available in two sizes: 137x23mm and 88x23mm.
