- Size: 3000 mm long (James Hardie code 305571), priced per length
- Where it goes: James Hardie’s guide says to fix it 10–20 mm up from the bottom of the first weatherboard, one run along the base of every Linea wall
- Use with: Linea Weatherboard 16 mm in 150 and 180 mm
- Warranty: James Hardie accessories carry a 12-month warranty; the boards carry 25 years
- At Greenhill: stocked at 170 Settlement Road, Thomastown, with pickup or delivery across Melbourne and regional Victoria. See the full James Hardie range.
James Hardie Linea PVC Starter Strip 3000mm is a system component for cladding installation. Trims, flashings and jointing pieces are what make a cladding wall actually weatherproof — the boards shed water, but the junctions are where it gets in.
Why use the matched component
Manufacturers warrant the system, not the board on its own. Substituting a generic trim can void the warranty and is the usual cause of failures at corners, window heads and base courses.
