Cypress Fence Pickets 68 x 19 mm Flat Top

Cypress flat top fence pickets, 68 × 19 mm dressed, with a square-cut top for a clean, modern picket fence or one that takes a capping rail. White cypress is naturally termite resistant and rated durability class 1 above ground under AS 5604, so the pickets last unpainted or take paint and stain well. Lengths: 0.9, 1.2, 1.5, 1.8, 2.1 and 2.4 m. Sold per picket, in stock at 170 Settlement Road, Thomastown, with pickup or delivery across Melbourne.

These are dressed white cypress pickets (Callitris glaucophylla), 68 mm wide and 19 mm thick, in the Flat Top profile: a square-cut top for a clean, modern picket fence or one that takes a capping rail. Cypress is the traditional Victorian picket timber because it resists termites without treatment, holds paint well and weathers to silver-grey if left bare.

Lengths: 0.9, 1.2, 1.5, 1.8, 2.1 and 2.4 m, priced per picket.

How many pickets: allow about 8 per metre of fence with a 50 mm gap, or 7 per metre with a picket-width gap. A 1.2 m high front fence uses two rails; go to three rails above that.

Goes with: cypress 100 × 100 mm posts, 70 × 45 mm H3 treated rails, galvanised post stirrups, Rapid Set Concrete and Sceney's Fence Finish in White, Black or Charcoal. See the full picket fencing range.
