Cypress 100 × 100 sawn, F7 in 2.4 m to 5.4 m lengths: a naturally termite-resistant Australian softwood, the standard fence post, and rated Class 2 in-ground.
Near sizes
Treated pine posts in 88 × 88 and 112 × 112 mm. Pre-primed LOSP pine posts in 88, 112, 135 and 185 mm for pergolas and verandahs. Laminated Merbau posts in 90, 115 and 140 mm with a solid face. All under structural timber posts.
Setting a post
Above-ground treated pine (H3) and Merbau should not go into the ground: fix them in a galvanised post stirrup or bolt-down post support set in Rapid Set or PRO50 concrete. Cypress and H4-treated posts can be set directly in concrete. Ant caps on stumps stop termites bridging into the frame. Call 03 9465 9875, Mon–Fri 7am–4:30pm, Sat 9am–1pm.
